UK Spring Tour 2010

This tour was open to 2-3 Sonicbids acts - all secular genres, all countries.
[applications for this event are now closed. Selected acts Miss Quincy Side Show (BC) and Red Gap (IoM)]

This is the sister event to our Fall Tour that we have run every May since 2006 and in 2010 ran from Thurs. May. 6th through Sat. May 15th. If you would like to apply for the 2011 Spring Tour please click on the Sonicbids logo.

We play at some of the friendliest music venues in Britain - whether it's two nights in the western highland isles of Scotland, a motorbike club in the mining valleys of Wales, a rustic thatched venue near Stonehenge, the top music pub in England, a cracking student and local venue in Bath, an afterhours club in Devon, a five star inn in Lancaster, or a rural idyll on the banks of the Ribble in the countryside that inspired Tolkien's description of the shire, we believe that any act selected for this tour will have the time of their lives! And will want to come back for more! See Past Events for feedback from previous tours. For a slide show of a CMEAS tour (with Big Baby Ernie, Kalvin Koolidge, and Laura Younger) click <HERE>. Miss Quincy Side Show (British Columbia)

Miss Quincy comes alive on stage through her stories, her music and the characters she picks up along the way. Equal parts edgy frontier woman and risque saloon madame, her mystique lays within the character created through her music and the carnival weaved throughout the show. Influenced by the renegade women who came before, Miss Quincy draws inspiration from the blues ladies of the 1930s, boot stompin' bluegrass and a healthy dose of vaudeville.

"Miss Quincy isn't just another pretty face with a guitar. Her voice is a welcome change from the overproduced, synthesized female drones filling commercial airwaves these days. It has character and bite, like a good cigar." - SE Calgary News

Red Gap (Isle of Man)

Well, what can we say! Red Gap were selected as one of 60 acts for our Lancaster Music Festival 2009 and were a sensation. An acoustic band that grooves like a 60's soul leviathan propelling the full and haunting voice of gifted lead singer Joanne Earner to goose bumping heights. Red Gap were also the first act on our artist roster to respond to our urgent call when four of the top five contenders shortlisted for this tour were unable to attend.
