About Cat's Chorus:
Cats' Chorus are THE a capella feline
divas from Lancaster, England. The all-female group formed
in November 1997 and have built up a reputation for wowing
audiences in the North West with their melodic and sumptious
harmonies. They have an eclectic range; from gritty folk roots
and funky numbers, to political ditties and poetic pieces
- with a few christmas classics thrown in for good measure!
Having returned from a successful tour
of Chicago, The Cats are looking forward to taking the litter
north of the border to the Edinburgh Festival. Cats' Chorus
- 9 out of 10 audiences purr-fur -ed them!
The Cat's are: Nadine Baxter-Smallwood,
Jayne Bolsover, Shelly Coyne, Diane Hopkins, Elspeth McCall,
Claire Waterton.
Cat's Chorus visited Chicago in the
summer of 2001 to play gigs sponsored by the Chicago Music
Explosion (CME). They also performed with the groups from
CME during their final tour date in the UK of 2001. For more

Cat's Chorus
NEWS!!
NEW ALBUM - YEAH!!
Gig and CD review from Gregson Gig:
"I first heard Cats Chorus at
a benefit gig in the Gregson some 5 or so years
ago. At the time I thought this group was good. I don't think
that any
longer... They weren't like Boniek at the 1982 World Cup who
was merely
brilliant. Cats Chorus are pure viagra acapella.
What more can I say? All
their songs are covers but they have chosen well. Not for
them a Radio 2
medley, no. 'Glory Box' was sublime, 'Between the Bars' was
inspirational,
'On Children' gets better with each hearing. They are unmic'd.
They don't
need such modern contraptions as each kitten possesses a fine
healthy pair
of bellows in their lungs. As I find background chatter and
noise a fierce
distraction when trying to listen to music, they benefit from
the lack of
amplification because no one spoke while they were singing.
Lastly, I
detected a slight disquiet among the supporting menfolk who
have given up
their evenings to babysit while their great women went out
to make music.
These poor unfortunate lads haven't been thanked on the CD
sleeve. Oh dear.
A bit catty that..."
