CMEAS has booking opportunities at many British clubs and Arts Council funded venues.
Pubs are the backbone of live music in Britain. Almost every British band of note started in the national pub circuit. CMEAS books and promotes gigs at some of the friendliest, busiest, best ale & food serving jewels of musical iniquity the Isles can offer
Started in 2004, CMEAS is partnering with several local school districts to provide interactive musical workshops with local schools. This program is set to be a significant part of our UK events.
In addition to pub, club, and workshop events, CMEAS has teamed up with a private record label based in Devon that does superb 24 track live recording at the Palladium Club. CMEAS offers a full show recording as part of the UK events.

If you are a band at home with a solid gig base and want to play abroad, there will probably be a bands abroad that want to play your gigs too. CMEAS can facilitate such international (or national) gig swaps.
Starting in 2005, CMEAS will be creating a video record of the tour so that bands have both a sound and visual record of their trip, and hopefully a work of art that they can use on return to their native countries.
Plans in the works include a recording and site seeing tour in Costa Rica, blues and roots festivals in Romania, a weekend trip to Rio de Janeiro, the International Film Festival in Prague, a tour of Dutch cities, a tour of French vineyard parties, and an island hopping tour of the US and UK Virgin Islands. <Counter shows hits since site opened Mar. 31st 2004: Site updated June 10th, 2008>

NEWS:

We are taking applications for the next UK October tour in 2008, that will run from October 1st - October 12th, 2008 and will include gigs throughout the UK (see UK Oct Tour 2008 and opposite for details).

We are taking applications for The One Planet Festival taking place over three days in Lancaster, England in October (10th - 12th) 2008.

We are taking applications for the next UK Spring tour in 2009, that will run from May 6th -May 17th, 2009 and will include gigs throughout the UK (see UK Spring Tour 2009 and opposite for details). See Spring 2008 Aftermath for 2008 tour!

We are taking applications for the next 2nd Annual Pewsey Music Festival (Wiltshire), that will take place August 16th, 2008 and will include acts from around the globle (see Pewsey Festival and opposite for details).

Other Bands on Tour in 2008:

Chicago group, Wabash Cannonballs, played UK in Sept. 2006/ 7 and changed the way Brits view Chicago blues. They are now back throughout June. See tour dates and scroll down to June.

New Jersey group, Big Baby Ernie (part of CME Oct. 2006 Tour) introduced a strange dance craze to the UK ("Funky Hot Grits Pants Party") and came back for more in 2007. Despite an antisocial behaviour bannig order for doing an underpants-around-the-ankles version of the Dog on top of the tour bus in front of the CME HQ at very silly o'clock in the morning on Monday August 27th, 2007, BBE are back again this August (see tour dates and scroll down to August). Hide your children.

*As founder of CME Artist Services, and a former ecology student who's helped repopulate East Anglia ponds and bogs with frogs, who's worked with Green Peace to expose heavy metal usuage in children's toys, and, more recently is working with the NW of England's regional government on their wide ranging climate change action plan that launches an almost utopian optimism in the future (in the face of apathy, sceptism and ignorance) I wish our musical organisation to embrace an ethos of humanity, environmental awareness, and collaborative enjoyment of this world's music. Play on! We all need to help save the planet from humanity's gross dereliction but never forget that we have to bloody well roar as well. Ha ha! The spigot of rhetoric is flushed open after considerable wine to celebrate our Costa Rican trip - this footnote probably won't be here for very long! Oh, but while I've not cut myself off yet, for goodness sake, let's push for hydrogen fueled planes, or aeroplanes that run on sustainably produced kersone so we can do this worldwide musical / environmental / collaborative / synergistic symphoney of sound thing without guilt!
