Music Festival
Lancaster has a truly phenomenal music scene for such
a small city. Click below for a map of music venue locations:
Young bands such as Tantrum and How's My Pop play the major festival
circuit yet still can be found playing at the John O'Gaunt on Market
Street on a Wednesday night. More seasoned musicans travelling the
national jazz, blues and folk circuit often stop by the Gregson
Centre while the Yorkshire House is nationally recognised as a NW
mecca for indie and hardcore bands.

'We would like to thank the many acts who applied to be a part
of this music festival. We hope to expand the music program for
next year's event.'

One Planet Festival has teamed up with CME
Artist Services, a music booking agency based in Lancaster and
Sonicbids, an online promotion company based in Boston, USA to book
local and international acts for the weekend during the Festival.
Acts will make their way to Lancaster either on public transport
(full backline is provided by CMEAS) or through conveyances propelled
by carbon neutral means (e.g. vehicles running on recycled vegetable
oil), or are part of an existing tour we were able to poach them
from.
Electricity for semi-acoustic acts will be provided by pedal powered
generators while electric bands will be through sustainable electricity
companies such as Ecotricity or waste vegetable oil powered generators
where possible.
