CMEAS has booking opportunities at many British clubs and Arts Council funded venues.
Pubs are the backbone of live music in Britain. Almost every British band of note started in the national pub circuit. CMEAS books and promotes gigs at some of the friendliest, busiest, best ale & food serving jewels of musical iniquity the Isles can offer

Started in 2004, CMEAS is partnering with several local school districts to provide interactive musical workshops with local schools. This program is set to be a significant part of our UK events.
In addition to pub, club, and workshop events, CMEAS has teamed up with a private record label based in Devon that does superb 24 track live recording at the Palladium Club. CMEAS offers a full show recording as part of the UK events.
If you are a band at home with a solid gig base and want to play abroad, there will probably be a bands abroad that want to play your gigs too. CMEAS can facilitate such international (or national) gig swaps.
Starting in 2005, CMEAS will be creating a video record of the tour so that bands have both a sound and visual record of their trip, and hopefully a work of art that they can use on return to their native countries.
Plans in the works include a recording and site seeing tour in Costa Rica, blues and roots festivals in Romania, a weekend trip to Rio de Janeiro, the International Film Festival in Prague, a tour of Dutch cities, a tour of French vineyard parties, and an island hopping tour of the US and UK Virgin Islands.

CMEAS Community Workshops started in 2004 with Queen Elizabeth School in Kirby Lonsdale and Beacon Hill High School in Blackpool and the response was so overwhelmingly positive from the students, the education staff present and the musicians that workshop events are now an integral part of our UK tours.

Workshop Structure: The approach adopted by CMEAS in workshop instruction is flexible, will fit in with existing music education curriculum requirement and is based primarily on BTEC Level 2 (GCSE equivalents) and Level 3 (A Level equivalents). In most cases the workshop will start at 10am with a showcase performance for 20-30 minutes by the artists, this is then followed by instruction in several modules of 45 minutes sessions, covering units prearranged with the school that the students can rotate between. Following lunch, the students are then encouraged to utilize what they have gained from the morning's instruction and perform a set either collectively, as separate groups, or with some of the CMEAS musicians. The workshop concludes with a performance evaluation of the students and a student evaluation of the CMEAS workshop at around 3pm.

For Beacon Hill High School in Blackpool, for example, the participants performed for the students for 20 minutes covering the wide variety of musical genres they were familiar with. Following the performances the students were split into groups, or individuals as appropriate, to work with individual musicians or teams on various aspects of performance including drum technique, singing, song writing, lead, rhythm, and bass guitar technique, Roland Loop applications, and warm-up, wardrobe and presentation. The students were then mentored to produce their own performances in the afternoon. The workshop concluded at 3pm with a round table question and awnser session with student evaluation of the workshop

For Queen Elizabeth School in Kirby Lonsdale, for example, the workshop fulfilled a BTEC requirement for already existing student bands. Two bands performed for the CMEAS musicians and were then evaluated. Constructive criticism and instruction then followed and in the afternoon the students again performed for CMEAS utilizing the benefits of this instruction. After the second set of performances the workshop was concluded at 3pm with a round table question and awnser session with student evaluation of the workshop.

In some cases (for example Colchester Technical College) artists performed an evening show for the entire school as part of the workshop contract.

For schools interested in CMEAS workshops CMEAS has a large pool of international artists that have been selected from a rigourous review process (see cmeas review) covering every aspect of playing music including instrumental technique, song writing, recording, sound engineering, music business (promotion, booking gigs, contracts, labels etc), and performance strategy.
